The Woodlands is the #2 master-planned community in Texas. It is nestled in the forest just 27 miles north of Houston, the fourth largest city in the U.S., and minutes from Bush International Airport. The Woodlands is also home to numerous major corporations and has become one of the top relocation destination points in the U.S.
Single-family residences, townhomes, brownstones, lofts and condos make up neighborhood communities that are divided into eight villages: Grogan's Mill, Panther Creek, Indian Springs, Cochran's Crossing, Alden Bridge, Sterling Ridge and the newest Village, Creekside. These areas are home to nearly 98,000 residents. The Village of Sterling Ridge also boasts the world-renowned exclusive gated community of Carlton Woods. East Shore is a newer community in the Town Center area of The Woodlands which offers an urban style of living with waterfront residences, period classic homes, as well as multi-level townhomes and condos. Home prices in all of the Villages range from $180,000 to over $3 million.
The Woodlands is a deed restricted planned community which offers 120+ forested parks, over 150 miles of hike and bike paths, top-ranked schools, and world-class golf courses designed by Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Fazio. Market Street is a 34 acre old-town style shopping, dining and entertainment area.
Other attractions in the Town Center area include Town Green, Waterway Cinemas, Tinseltown at Market Street and Cinemark Tinseltown 17, connected by easy-access intersecting streets and a waterway system.
